Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed the delay of its upcoming co-op superhero adventure Gotham Knights to 2022.

A tweet from the official Gotham Knights Twitter account on Friday confirmed the new 2022 release date, saying, “We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players.” No specific release window in 2022 was provided.

“Thank you to our amazing fans for your tremendous support of Gotham Knights,” the game’s account tweeted. “We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the coming months.”

This is the first news on Gotham Knights’ release since its debut trailer announced a 2021 launch back in August 2020. The game, developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, allows up to four players to control Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin as they attempt to save Gotham from the chaos caused by Batman’s death.
