‘TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES’ RETURN TO GAMING WITH NEW BEAT-EM-UP TITLE
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are making a comeback to the gaming sphere. with Shredders Revenge.
Nickelodeon revealed the new title, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, early on Wednesday in conjunction with Dotemu, the game’s publisher and Tribute Games, the developer. Shredder’s Revenge will be a classic side-scroller beat-em-up game available on PC and consoles later this year. The art style will invoke the franchise’s classic 1987 design with “beautifully realized pixel art.”
In the story, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello are reunited to battle through iconic TMNT locations to thwart the villain’s diabolical plan. The ‘za loving turtles will be armed with new abilities while keeping classic brawling mechanics as they bust their way through the sewers of New York.
Dotemu is a developer and publisher known for faithful remakes and continuations of beloved gaming classics such as Streets of Rage 4 and Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. Tribute Games is the studio behind retro-themed original IP including Panzer Paladin and Flinthook.
