Several mobile games are setting the mood with a number of different Valentine’s Day events kicking off this weekend.
Pokémon Go will debut Munna and Musharna, two new monsters from Generation 5. The event starts Feb. 14 and runs for four days. Pink-colored Pokémon will also appear in greater numbers to celebrate the holiday.
PUBG Mobile is getting into the spirit with the addition of the Power Armor mode. Players can score the pink Dream Team theme while Love Confession Balloons can be released while playing to display a name in the sky upon popping.
Funko Pop! Blitz focused its weekly update on Valentine’s Day with the introduction of characters from 1987’s romantic adventure film The Princess Bride.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has a new set of Valentine’s Day-themed poses, stamps and gifts to collect. You’ll also be given a special bouquet that you can only give out to a single villager. In exchange, you’ll get a box of chocolates.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will make the ability to go on dates a permanent feature once the special event kicks off on Feb. 16. The romance feature will now include relationship levels and milestones.
Merge Dragons currently has an event running where players can harvest treats from Valentine’s Day-themed trees. A certain number of points need to be reached by collecting these treats to get the event’s unique treasures.
Other games with Valentine’s Day events include Skylanders Ring of Heroes, Pokemon Masters, Wannabe Challenge and Birdie Crush.

Crash Bandicoot On the Way
During its quarterly earnings call earlier this week, publisher Activision Blizzard revealed Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will release on mobile devices this March. King president Humam Sakhnini spoke highly of the IP: “We’ve chosen the runner genre, which is a very attractive category in mobile because it comes with the largest download volumes historically and has the potential for mass reach.”
The upcoming mobile title will feature 100 hours of gameplay and 50 bosses spread across 12 lands. Pre-registration is already available.
Rivalry of the Princesses
The latest Mario Kart Tour update pits Peach against Daisy as the next two weeks will task players with picking a side and earning points for either team. Team specific coins are collected while racing during the Peach vs. Daisy Tour that helps build up your team’s total score. The tour also introduced RMX Choco Island 2 as a new racetrack and Pauline (Rose) as this week’s brand new character.
Apple Arcade Reaches 150 Games
The Apple Arcade subscription service hit a new milestone this week as subscribers now have access to 150 mobile games. The most recent addition of Lumen by Lykkegaard Europe kicked off the noteworthy stat and the service will continue to add games every Friday. Apple Arcade is available for $4.99 a month.
