‘RATCHET AND CLANK: RIFT APART’ LAUNCHING JUNE 11
Sony has announced the release date for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart for June 11, revealing the first information on the game since August.
The official PlayStation Blog post lays out the game’s premise, which sees the eponymous duo Ratchet and Clank separated by the evil Dr. Nefarious. The cover art for Rift Apart was also revealed, featuring Ratchet and the unnamed female Lombax.
“As they try to reunite, they will meet a new Lombax resistance fighter, explore new and familiar locales (but with new dimensional twists!), and wield a whole new arsenal of out of this world weapons,” the blog post says.
The post also lays out the different versions of the game to expect, including a Digital Deluxe edition that includes five extra armor sets, a sticker pack for the game’s Photo Mode, a digital soundtrack and more.
Finally, those who pre-order the game digitally will receive the Carbonox armor, known to fans as the high-tech gear from the cover art of 2003’s Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, and the retro-themed Pixelizer weapon from the PlayStation 4 Ratchet and Clank game in 2016.
