Crash Bandicoot is spinning into the next generation of consoles.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, the true sequel to the classic Bandicoot trilogy from the 90s, will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on March 12. Players who already own the title on last-gen consoles (PlayStation 4,Xbox One) will be entitled to receive the next-gen upgrade at no cost, given it is still on the same family of consoles (Xbox One to Xbox Series X, for example). The title was not previously available on the Switch.

On the new platforms, Crash 4 will now run in 4K with 60 frames per second. The upgrade also boasts quicker loading times and 3D audio that will immerse players in new ways. PS5 owners will also be able to experience the DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive triggers, allowing players to feel the force of Neo Cortex’s blaster and experience the grip as they grapple with Tawna’s hookshot. The PS5 activity card will also give players a clear breakdown of their progress throughout each dimension in the game.

The game is also set to come to PC platforms later this year via, though no specific launch date was provided.

Crash 4’s release kicks off a yearlong celebration of the Crash Bandicoot franchise, which turns 25 on Sept. 9. Activision teased more “furtastic festivities” are to come.
