VENN UNVEILS SLATE OF NEW CONTENT

New year, new VENN.

The gaming network has announced its first round of new content for the 2021 season, as well as plans for a consolidated vertical-based approach in its overall strategy. VENN’s new programming will revolve around three verticals: esports, gaming and pop culture.

Among the new content airing in the first quarter is Fan Controlled Football, premiering on VENN on Feb. 13, in which fans call the plays in a game that plays out live.

VENN has also partnered with Facecheck, a League of Legends-centered talk show. Under the agreement, VENN will hosts Facecheck’s video on-demand after the show’s live recording.

The third new show on the slate is interview series Origin Stories, hosted by Hector Rodriguez, the founder and CEO of OpTic Gaming. Each episode focuses on a gaming mogul’s career journey. The pilot, filmed with Ryan “Fwiz” Wyatt, head of YouTube Gaming, debuted on Wednesday and can be viewed here.
