‘MORTAL KOMBAT 11’ PRO KOMPETITION SETS SEASON 2 START DATE

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games have unveiled the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition Season 2 will begin this weekend. The event, hosted by the PlayStation Competition Center, will allow players from around the world to compete for a share of a $60,000 prize pool.

The three regions comprising the tournament are: the North American League, which includes North America East and North America West circuits; the InterKontinental Kombat, featuring Europe, Middle East and Oceania circuits; and Liga Latina, with players from the Brazil, Mexico, Latin America Norte and Latin America Sur circuits.

Each region will hold eight “regular season” events in which players can earn points to qualify for three regional final competitions, each of which will produce one winner per division.

Prospective players must be 18 years of age or older, own Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate on PlayStation 4 and have an active PlayStation Plus subscription with an associated valid PSN ID in order to participate. All characters in MK11 Ultimate — including the newest additions Rain, Mlieena and Rambo — are eligible for competition.

The Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition Season 2 starts with the first Liga Latina qualifier on Dec. 5, and continues with the InterKontinental region on Dec. 12 and the North American League on Dec. 19.
